Seerat Club’s second event of Cycle 2, Istiqbaal-e-Ramadan, was held on 14th February ’26. The session began by revisiting the beautiful bond of brotherhood established between the Muhajireen and Ansar after Hijrah. Children reflected on the powerful lessons it teaches us — to rise above differences, promote good, and stop wrong with wisdom and courage. A heartwarming real-life example was shared from within our own Seerat Club, where young member Muhammad Siddique Farooq demonstrated this spirit by responsibly intervening to stop a disagreement between two children in our last event— truly embodying the values we discuss.
The discussion then transitioned to the obligation of fasting in the early Madinan years and the deeper purpose behind Ramadan — building self-restraint, gratitude, and taqwa. Children were encouraged to revive the Sunnah of reciting the dua upon sighting the new moon and were invited to share their Ramadan home decorations for a chance to win a special candy bag.
After a short snack break, the activity session featured an exciting Science Tamasha in collaboration with Science Fuse, a UK based social enterprise working to improve science education in Pakistan. The theme explored the literal meaning of “Ramadan” — intense heat — through engaging experiments using fire and dry ice to demonstrate temperature extremes.
